Software for finite element modeling of electromagnetic fields in technical devices and geoelectrical problems

This work is devoted to designing the finite element software for modeling electromagnetic fields. They are userfriendly for those who are the specialists in such spheres as electrical prospecting, electro mechanics and nuclear physics. The distinctive features of the proposed software are automation of finite element mesh generation with a glance to the peculiarity of the calculated domain structure and the use of special mathematical statements which are based on selecting the field of less dimension taking into account the characteristics of the task solved. In addition, the automatically generated mesh ensures the required solution accuracy for the considered class of tasks. The above – mentioned mathematical statements make it possible to considerably reduce the computational time while solving three-dimensional problems with the required degree of accuracy. The concise description of software and their capabilities are presented for solving the tasks of three – dimensional electrical prospecting data interpretation, for modeling three-dimensional non-linear magnetic fields in asynchronous electrical motors and cyclotrons with spiral shims as well as for the tasks of modeling electrodynamic processes in asynchronous electrical motors with frequency control.
