Abstract
The potential carbon stock in vegetation and its alteration in case of climate changes are estimated on the base of Baikal region landscapes GIS and digital elevation model. The mathematical model of the dependence of geosystem functions values on the elevation gradient for data extrapolation is proposed. An algorithm of geoinformation mapping spatial distribution of carbon stock and its alteration is developed.

Key Words
modeling of carbon stock, landscape GIS, geosystem functions
