Ranked search in bibliographic databases

Abstract
The paper describes the approach to the ranked search in bibliographic databases. The problem of effective subject search in automated library catalogs is solved with this approach. Bibliographic record is considered as structured docu-ment, which may consist of a several zones. This allows us to calculate the assessment in relation to the search query ac-cording to different zones of the document. The obtained estimates documents are used for ranking search results. There are considered various models of ranked search, as well as the approach to meta-search, for a variety of bibliographic databases.
