Survey of spatial attributes’ effectiveness in classification of satellite imagery of various resolutions

Abstract
This article elaborates on possibility of spatial information utilization in classification of high resolution remote sensing imagery. In it the results of empiric survey on dependency of statistical and structural image attributes on the resolution of satellite imagery in tasks of detection of anthropogenic territories are presented. It is shown that, when using the anomaly detection in local structure method, effectiveness of technosphere objects’ segregation from natural background increases five and more times with refining of the spatial resolution of an image from 10 to 2,5 m.
